The DV3000 a multi camera.

I bought this camera some time ago and is a really stylish camera, i have been testing it before writing this review, and i can tell that for the price you pay for it is a really good value. However i have to say that as camcorder you need enough external light to record videos properly, the quality of the images is quite good but the batteries tend to run out fast (you can buy rechargable batteries and the problem is going to be solved). As a digital camera is ok, but you need to keep your hands quite steady otherwise the pictures are going to be a little bit blurry, you do not have a flash so you need external light, however the camera has a "taking pictures in the dark" option which is quite useful and solve almost completely the need of external light. As a pc camera it is good, pretty good. The software provided is really easy to use and the external appearance is amazing, we are talking about a silver metal body which looks sleek; and the 32mb memory card provided, allows you to take something like 45 digital pictures or about 15 to 20 minutes of video in the highest quality. To conclude, this is a great 3 in 1 product and if you have a tight budget but you want to have a digital camera, a camcorder and a pc camera this is for you.

Great for the price
 |
I bought the Mustek mainly because i wanted a digital camera so i wasn't really bothered about weather or not the video mode was great, But i was surprised when i used the video mode at how good it accutally is. Aslong as you dont jerk it around too much you get a good picture which can be edited on a pc or mac which is great fun if you just want a camera to play with rather than do serious work with. The digital camera mode that i bought the camera for is great, i havent seen many if any other 3.1MP cameras for the price of this. Its very easy to connect to a pc and the software that comes with it is good and easy to use, SD or mmc cards are a great storage device because they are so small and lots of other equipment uses them e.g. mp3 players so it saves money to get something which can share cards. Overall its a great camera, good features, good price, good size (its tiny), good looks. Only problem is theres no flash but for the price you cant beat it, and the problems of having no flash can be overcome with the night shot mode.

an excellent introduction to digital cameras
 |
As far as being at the cheaper end of digital photography/video, this little camera does everything it says on the box, with even my six year old getting to grips with it. The delivery service produced the goods within 2 working days, even having taken the free delivery option for a three to five day delivery. Within a matter of hours, the software was installed and photos and videos were being stored. The quality is terrific, although without a steady hand, the photos become strange to say the least, but the delete button is right there so its no problem. My one gripe is with the software which seems a bit dated and hard to navigate sometimes, especially the video programme, but all in all, everything you need. By the second night I had managed to start using it as a web-cam and my pal in London could see my happy smiling face. Fantastic! Batteries seem to last well, too, and with the option to upgrade the memory, there is the potential to have a long weekend away and get every shot and clip you want without worrying about the memory. To sum up, this is an excellent introduction to digital photography at an unbelievably low price.
