How much does it cost?

All of our domains have been carefully selected to be of ideal target value for a recognizable business on the web. Normally, a minimum market value for this type of a domain would be $15,000 - and we have sold already several domains at $10,000. In some appraisals, some of our domains, will score considerably higher than that.

But, to keep things simple, clean and clear, we are asking a firm price of $ 3,329.00 USD. Now, for a temporary time only, we are offering the same domains, ON SALE for only $ 999 - until the end of January, 2001.

Is the price still negotiable?

A domain name is always available for immediate transfer at the price as indicated. Our focus is to give fully support to each of our customers, starting with speedy transfers, as well as advice on domain name strategics for protection and search engine success. Purchasing a domain name at the indicated price also assures that noone else can precede  your interest. If however, you feel that you want to negotiate (perhaps because you want to purchase plural domains), then send us an email, stating your name, your position, your intent with the domain and your price proposal. Only decent offers will be considered. Any partial offers are always taken secondary to full price purchase commitments, or higher offers. [email protected]

How long does it take?

Normally the process of acquiring a domain name is quick and simple, and can be completed in less than 2 weeks, all the way from start to finish. In some case, with mutual cooperation, we manage to have the entire transfer ready in less than a week. The time is dependent on your responsiveness, as the buyer, to fullfill the necessary steps - also dependent if payment is made by wire-transfer - and partially dependent on the registrars cooperation and efficiency. However, it is our goal to always complete a transfer ASAP.

How does the transfer work?

Here are only 3 to 5 simple steps involved:

1. NEGOTIATION :
If any negotiation precedes, first the specific domain name(s) and its price must be settled and agreed upon. When a domain is sold at the indicated price, the transfer is immediately initiated.

2. CONFIRMATION : 
Then we need to receive confirmation of your purchase, based on Name, Address, email and the specific domain name(s) involved. - We in return double check the domain availability at that point, and reconfirm it to you.

3. PAYMENT :
Then we need to receive payment for the domain(s), either through creditcard or wire transfer. In either case the funds must be verified and confirmed. (with creditcards, this is less than 12 hours - with wire transfers, it can take up to a week). - We in return will notify you immediately, as soon as funding is in place.

! If preferred, an escrow agency can be used - however, in most cases, as we are an established merchant, company and Belgian based corporation, with physical address and one of the largest domain portfolios, a lot of our clients have felt comfortable settling directly with us.

4. ACTUAL TRANSFER  of OWNERSHIP of the domain:
We send you a short list of domain data to fill out. The data (name, address, email, etc.) are used for the WhoIs Directory - the place where all domains are kept organized. As soon as we receive the appropriate data, we adapt the domain record.

It is also in the WhoIs Directory that your ownership and registrant coordinates will show up, and can be verified by yourself, or search upon in any WhoIs Directory, like www.UWhoIs.com - the full integration of a change may take from 24 to 48 hours.

5. ACTUAL TRANSFER of the DOMAIN itself:
A domain can either be "parked" on any DomainNameServer (DNS) of your choice, or we can provide you with free domain name parking, until you are ready to use or launch a website. (So, you don't need a website ready yet, in order to acquire a domain). If you do know your DNS coordinates, you can also forward them to us, and we accordingly adapt your record. The same applies with the WhoIs information, in terms of time of implementation, and time of effective use, at which point you can also verify.

How can I pay?

There are 3 ways for payment:

1. CREDIT CARD - Quickest and simplest:
We can process any major type of creditcard: VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS. The procedure can be done online, through our secured merchant account with WorldPay account - and can be paid in 5 different currencies. If the credit card is valid and authorized for the amount, payment is settled and the transfer transaction can precede  immediately.

2. WIRE TRANSFER: Efficient, but requires a bit more time, experience and cost:

Important: please inform your banker that the whole amount needs to arrive at its destination - therefore, the fees for the wire-transfer need to be paid by you (up front).

Note: it is helpful if you can send us an email that confirms that the wire has been initiated - this allows us to monitor the wire (sort of "look out for it") and we, in return will notify you by email, as soon as the funds have arrived into our account. 

3. PAYMENT BY CHECK: Slow process, but acceptable with approval:
Personal checks or company checks can be considered as method of payment, however must first be approved. Always get your approval first, before you send us a check. The tranfer is put "on hold" until the check has been received and has cleared through our bank. Only when the funds are in place on our account, can the domain transfer proceed, and the domain rights be released.

How long is a domain I purchase registered for?

The domain that you purchase will vary in the length of time, pending on when it was registered by us. When a domain name has been purchased at the indicated price, we will always guarantee it to have at least 6 more months of registration time left.

Once the domain is transfered  in your name, you can add any number of years (up to 10 years) to the current registration time that is paid for. It is highly recommendable to get these 10 years taken care of, once you are going in full operation with this domain - it makes sure that you do not accidentally forget to pay and would therefore risk losing your domain name.

Where can I check ownership?

There is a wide variety of WhoIs directories, which are all drawing their data from the central registry data base. You can perform an easy look up at www.UWhois.com  - any changes in data, even though they have been fully completed, can take up to 24-48 hours before they show up in the WhoIs directory. The Company or Individual name, together with the Administrative contact, are the principal party that represent ownership of the registration rights.

Do I need to have a working website or start a website to buy a domain?

No, you do not need a functional website, to acquire a domain. The domain can just be parked and wait for you to associate a website with that domain.

How do I use a domain name if I don't have a web site?

You can elect to just use EMAIL FORWARDING and leave your web address with our Under Construction web page. Or you can get free web space from www.tripod.com or www.homestead.com and forward your domain there.

Many ISP's offer free web space with every dial-up account, but then want to charge you a monthly fee if you want to use your domain name. Using our services to register your domain, you can forward your domain name to the free space your ISP gives you at no charge whatsoever!

How will I know when my Domain Name is ready for use?

Check for your name to appear in the Name Search database. It can take up to 72 or 96 hours for it to appear there but it will be functional typically 48 hours after registration. Please note that this is not our database, it is a live search on the Central Registry Database. This database is updated once per day.

Once a domain is registered, who is the owner?

You are listed as the owner and the Administrative Contact. Use  www.UWhoIs.com facility after we have submitted your registration, and it will verify that your domain is listed with you having complete ownership and control of the domain name.

The domain name holder is the person or organization listed at the top of the www.UWhoIs.com  record. The contacts are individuals who the organization trusts to handle issues involving the domain name record.

But regardless of who is the listed contacts, the domain name owner is the organization who is listed in the Search record.
